A local animal rescue outfit has partnered with some larger, national pet names to present the "Home for the Holidays" foster program. Pet service companies PetCo, IAMs and Petfinder.com launched the foster program to help place animals up for adoption in homes over the winter holidays. In Southeast Missouri, the companies partnered with Silverwalk Beagle & Hound Sanctuary. Roberta Beach, owner of Silverwalk, not only made her animal rescue operation available to the program, but also decided to foster a few dogs herself. Beach said her personal creed is "to be dedicated to God, serving in prayer, healing and animal rescue." To read more about the Home for the Holidays program, see page XX.
