PERRYVILLE, Mo. -- Family members of Derrick and Jamie Orman are holding a benefit Saturday in Perryville. Derrick Orman, 15, and his mother Jamie Orman, 30, were killed Oct. 27 in Cape Girardeau. Derrick Orman was a sophomore at Perryville High School. Keith and Brandee Green and T.J. Broeker, cousins of Derrick Orman, will sponsor the event at the River Hills Eagles Club, 2746 W. St. Joseph St. in Perryville. Doors open at 5:30 p.m. There will be a silent auction from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Drawings will start at 7 p.m., and a dance will follow at 8 p.m. Brandee Green said the family appreciates the community members and businesses that donated to the benefit. She said CNZ Soundsystem donated music for the event. The cost of admission is $6 per person or $10 per couple. Proceeds from the event will go to Jacob and Travis Orman, Jamie Orman's surviving younger sons.
