Comedian, actor and songwriter Rodney Carrington will perform at the Show Me Center at 7 p.m. April 9, according to a Show Me Center news release. Ticket sales for the concert begin at 10 a.m. Friday.

Carrington has recorded eight major record label comedy albums selling over 2 million copies, has starred in his own self-titled TV sitcom, which ran on ABC for two seasons and most recently co-wrote and co-starred with Toby Keith in the movie "Beer for My Horses."

Over the summer Carrington released the CD "El Nino Loco," followed by a Christmas album, "Make It Christmas," which includes many classic Christmas tunes, in August.

Carrington performed at the Show Me Center in October 2007. The comedian appeared in Poplar Bluff last April.

Tickets will be available starting at 10 a.m. Friday at the Show Me Center ticket office, all Ticketmaster locations, online at ticketmaster.com and by phone at 800-745-3000.

This concert is for mature audiences only.

I have 2 Josh Turner tickets for sale for this Saturday night.

They are 11th row, floor seats.

I'm selling for face value, $45 each, that includes all fees and taxes.

SMC should try to get Jeff Dunham back again...he is going to be in MO in March, down at Springfield.

Cheech & Chong is still on their comeback tour. They're playing several shows in this region with plenty of open dates in March and April of next year. The SMC should try to book them. I saw them at SIU Arena way back in the 70's and they were great! A close friend in Ky. went to see them in Nashville earlier this year. He said they were great but there was no new material. It was all the old bits which would suit me just fine!

Dunham was a great show!!!! I would gladly pay to go see him again.

Data48: That would be an awesome show. Good luck getting Cape to host that, though... Could be surprised, I guess, but...

I don't see why anyone in Cape would object to Cheech & Chong when they're already getting someone as vulgar and unfunny as Carrington. I would also like to see Dunham here again, that was the second best comedy show I've ever seen after Cheech & Chong, but I think it's too soon. He was just here less than six months ago.
