One injured in three-car crash in Cape Girardeau
A three-car accident Friday afternoon in Cape Girardeau sent a man to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The accident happened near the intersection of Perryville Road and Perry Avenue when a Nissan Altima traveling north on Perry Avenue crossed into the southbound lane and struck a Mitsubishi, said Cape Girardeau Police Department spokesman Cpl. Adam Glueck. The Nissan then continued in the southbound lane until it was broadsided by a Chevrolet Tahoe. All three vehicles were towed from the scene. The driver of the Altima was transported to a hospital with possible back and neck injuries. Glueck said the crash was still being investigated Friday afternoon, but no citations were pending at that time.
