*** King of the Jungle

CENTRAL High School has some serious priority evaluation to do. "Illegal" senior shirts were made declaring "We Are the Real Kings." Over 100 students purchased them and wore the shirts to school. Assistant principals were forcing students to turn the shirts inside out and threatened them with disciplinary action. Multiple e-mails were sent telling teachers to be on the lookout for any sign of the shirts. Why? Because they supposedly targeted a junior, the reigning King of the Jungle. A junior has never been king. It broke tradition and skipped the current senior class. That individual stated that he did not have a problem with the shirts. So what was the issue? Is it about the money not being made from the official senior shirts? There is not any profanity or gang signs on the shirts. The administration made a mountain out of a molehill.

*** Shattered Oscar

MICHAEL Moore's leftist documentaries go to the big screen and bring in big bucks. "Tea Party: The Documentary" is going straight to DVD. This is unfair and blatant discrimination against right-wing tea partiers. As a disclaimer, part of my complaint is based on my cameo appearance in "Tea Party" and my apparently dashed hopes that I will be nominated for an Academy Award.

*** Warming conspiracy

NEWLY released data and e-mails from the Climate Research Unit in England reveal a conspiracy to promote the global warming hoax and a cover-up of their failing efforts. It has been described as the greatest scandal in modern science. This should mean the end of their moneymaking and job-killing schemes like cap-and-tax. The whistle blower that exposed these lies deserves the thanks of everyone.

*** Madison's view

"FROM this view of the subject, it may be concluded, that a pure Democracy, by which I mean a society, consisting of a small number of citizens, who assemble and administer the Government in person, can admit no cure for the mischiefs of factions. ... Hence it is, that such Democracies have ever been spectacles of turbulence and contention; have ever been found 'incompatible' with 'personal security' and the 'rights of property' ... and have in general been as short in their lives, as they have been violent in their deaths. Theoretic politicians, who have patronized this species of government, have 'erroneously' supposed, that by reducing mankind to a perfect equality in their political rights, they would, at the same time, be perfectly equalized and assimilated in their possessions, their opinions, and their passions." -- James Madison, The Federalist X.

*** The consequences

WHEN we think of the past, we forget the fools and remember the sage. We reverse the process for our own time, elevating the fools to highest office, joining the chorus of "We have no God but Caesar" and ignoring the sage's prophecy of the consequence of our choices.

Part of the appeal of Michael Moore's movies is that they are good. I disagree with him on most issues, and even know a lot of what is in the movies is misleading, but they are produced really well...

Sounds like something akin to "I know Michael Moore always bakes a bulls... pie, but I can't resist delving into it for a mouthful, because the calf slobbers on top so much resembles the meringue that I love so well."

King of the Jungle..."Illegal" senior shirts, "Official" senior shirts, tradition, no "profanity or gang signs"...

Oh, for sure, I will be voting for the tax increase...ha!

What else would you expect from a government-run school?

i forget...who is Michael Moore ?

If there is a "market" for Tea Party-The Documentary to be released to the big screen then it will be. If it sells well on DVD the maker may be the antithesis of Michael Moore and find his future endeavors on the big screen.

Wheels

just another feather in Obama's hat ...

-- Posted by ..Rick on Mon, Nov 30, 2009, at 5:47 PM

Wheels - yep, I worry that cap-and-trade will be a tremendous revenue-generator - for someone.

Now, what entity comes to mind as being in serious need of additional revenue to offset its recent spending sprees? :-)~

Not too far of a stretch - the cap-n-trade is necessary to pay for health care and social services, due to all of our problems which can be linked back to emissions in the first place.

For example - factory automation can reduce the numbers needed in the workforce, and automation requires energy to run - so cap-n-trade revenues can logically be used for unemployment benefits.

Energy provides illumination that allows work to continue after dark, so cap-n-trade revenues can justifiably be used for counseling services for those unruly kids whose parents had night jobs and subsequently couldn't receive the proper raising they deserved.

Ahhhh - just having too much fun here :-)~

i'm glad i don't know what cap~trade is , i'd proberly get highly pisted off if i did..

Michael Moore should be knocked to the ground, beaten up... kicked in the head ribs, stomach and back, screamed at, belittled, threatened some more and called, the "N" word. It would SO be worth it and all that fun, carries only, misdemeanor, charges!

Is this country GREAT, or WHAT?!

-- Posted by Mrsip on Mon, Nov 30, 2009, at 6:09 PM

heyoke

i take it you're not a Michael Moore fan ?

-- Posted by ..Rick on Mon, Nov 30, 2009, at 6:19 PM

Rick - in short, and if applied without exception, cap-n-trade will mean an artificial increase in the price of any carbon-based energy - coal, natural gas, grillin' charcoal, propane, gasoline, diesel, etc. I figure that would mean firewood too, if a means could be figured out how to do so.

Remember that roughly half of the electricity produced in the U.S. comes from coal - in Missouri, closer to 80%. Quiz - if cap-n-trade passes, would Missouri's average electric rates (a) increase, or (b) decrease more than the national average rate? A correct answer will get you an (a). :-)

Also, keep in mind how one's groceries and other needs or wants reach the final point-of-sale - usually via trucks, which usually run on diesel.

How much more are you willing to pay to fill up your vehicle with gas, or diesel? With cap-n-trade, you will be closer to finding out.

How much more are you willing to pay to heat your home with electric, natural gas, or propane in the winters? With cap-n-trade, you will be closer to finding out.

How much more are you willing to pay to cool your home in the summers? With cap-n-trade, you will be closer to finding out.

How much more are you willing to pay to be able to see around the house at night? With cap-n-trade, you will be closer to finding out.

What will you be paying for? Essentially, permission to emit, either directly or indirectly. For utilities, the penalties they pay won't be reinvested to reduce emissions locally - the penalties will be awarded to those lesser-emitting areas, many of which will enjoy these windfall benefits due mostly to geography and location. So, the particular utility's customers will get to pay twice - once for the penalty, and again for the acquiring the means necessary to reduce the penalty 'for our children'.

Cap-n-trade has been prophetized as the largest transfer of wealth in the history of the world. Eh, dunno about that claim, but agree that this measure will rank right on up there in the list of the largests.

Can't argue that reducing emissions is not a good thing, in principal - just worried that cap-n-trade may not be the best means by which to do so.

Michael Moore

I didn't get to see Moore's "CAPITALISM" movie, as it was here in Cape only a week, if that.

In the past, Cape Girardeauians have shown there unwillingness to go to see Farenheit 911, or, SICKO, because they didn't want to believe anything that this "liberal" had to show them.

I can understand their reluctance to see a Moore film. Many, Many years ago, I saw a short bit of ROGER AND ME on a PBS channel, I think. I thought that it was great. However, when BOWLING FOR COLUMBINE came out, I heard that it was an anti-gun film, so, I didn't go see it. I understand the attitude, the ignorance that folks around here have exhibited when it comes to a Michael Moore film, because I was once one of them.

When I saw Moore's Farenhiet 911, it was interesting, but I knew everything that he had in the film, except for one thing. That was in the very beginning of the film. Democrats believed that the Republicans had stolen the 2000 Presidential election in Florida. After an election, there is a joint session of congress. During that session, if a congressman, and a senator rise and say that they want to discuss the election, it opens the session up to the discussion and they can have at it until the cows come home.

If you remember, this was the famous "hanging chad" election. Democrats paraded before national TV cameras claiming that the Republicans had stolen the 2000 election. There were some of America's most recognizable Senators, and Congressmen all saying what thier voters back home wanted to hear, a real tongue lashing of those evil Republicans. It really got pretty foul.

Skipping ahead to the joint session of congress. Here was the opportunity for Democrats to grab days of televised debate over the contested 2000 presidential election. CSPAN would cover every charge, every "witness", every minute detail of the alleged theft of the election. Then, on the news channels, and the nightly network newscasts, plus in print, and on radio, the congressional review of the election would take lead story for weeks. All that was needed was one congressman, and ONE SENATOR.

One by one, congressmen and women from Florida and the south, rose to attempt to request a discussion of the election. One by one, the president of the Senate would bang his gavel and question them as to if a Senator had joined them, and since the answer was NO, he would tell these Democrats to sit the hell down.

In 2000, Daschle was a senator, as was Liberman, Dodd, Boxer, Fienstein, Reid, John Kerry, Al Gore, the defeated candidate, Kennedy, Durbin, Mikulski, Patty Murray, Schumer, Ron Wyden, and many more.

So, I ask, why didn't ONE, just ONE Democrat Senator, who had been on TV ranting about Republicans and the stolen election in Florida, why didn't ONE of them rise and say "I may not agree with what these Congresswomen have to say about the election in Florida, but whe should hear them out." That is all that ONE Democrat Senator had to say and the floor and the TV homes of millions would have been opened to the Democrats to trash Republicans and Bush until the cows came home.

That is not what happened. One by one, Congressmen and women, mostly black, rose to speak and were immediately gaveled down and told to return to their seats. Not One, NOT ONE, Demcorat offered them the chance to speak their piece.

I can only guess why. It goes back to what 1968 Presidential candidate George Wallace said. "THERE ISN'T A DIME BIT OF DIFFERENCE IN A REPUBLICAN AND A DEMOCRAT." Pat Buchanan says that we have a one party system. "Democrats and Republicans are just two wings of the SAME bird of prey."

I was truly amazed. I imagined that the senators which I had grown to hate, Boxer, Fienstien, Durbin, Schumen, Daschle, Al Gore, and Liberman. I had truly expected them, perhaps all of them to rise and support the request of their fellow Democrats from the House, to debate this contested election.

When I found out who was pounding that gavel and rudely ordering those Democrats to return to their seats. It was one other than Al Gore, the "loser" of the election.

When I saw Farenheit 911, Ialready knew everything in the film but this bit of information, the fact that NO Democratic Senator had voiced even mild support for discussion of the very election which they had just been denouncing before their howmetown TV cameras, and on National TV, NOT one of them rose to help their fellow Demcoratic Congressmen who wanted discussion. That fact, alone, was worth the price of admission.

If you had seen SICKO, you may have quesitons as to why we have been lied to about aspects of the single payer healh care systems in Canada, England, and Canada.

Again, I do understand why people didn't go see the Moore films, because I didn't see Bowling for Columbine, for the same reasons. Unfortuantely, missing a Moore film, may not be the best move afterall.

We are no longer dealing with the evils of "liberalism", or, the evils of "conservatives." These are old, nostalgic labels that the globalists use to keep us distracted and off balance. ALL of our Freedoms are under attack, by the globalists. Liberal, progressives, and Conservatives need to dialogue and find common ground, for if a Conservative looses a fredom, the progressive and Liberal looses same.

Death to the New World Order.

*** Shattered Oscar

Today, plenty of movies, especially, documentaries go straight to DVD. So, don't be upset that your cameo appearance will not see the light of day in a theatre.

While some of the documentaries by Austin based radio talk show host, and film maker, Alex Jones, go straight to DVD, his latest two, the OBAMA DECEPTION, and, most assuredly, his documentary released in mid October, 2009, THE FALL OF THE REPUBLIC, are good enough to be theatrical releases. However, Americans do not attend many documentary movies. Jones early production values were novice, but his latest films are of professional quality.

I will look for TEA PARTY on DVD. As for Alex Jones, www.infowars.com , his movies are being legally copied, and distributed all over the world, and have been big hits on the internet.

Thanks for the excellent cap-n-trade post, fxpwt ...

Opinion only: It isn't so much about 'climate change' (noticing the ignoring of recent information on that, even in the MSM), or our 'environment,' but about ... $$$$$$$$ ... I don't know how much more the average person/family can afford in utility, grocery and fuel expenses.

... glad to know you are not liberal. I would hate to have someone like you representing the left side.

Apparently everyone on the right side here missed the point that heyoke was making....Theorist didn't miss it, that's why he avoided the reference and made out like verbal assaults are worse than what 'his band of hoodlum brothers' do to anyone in the tea party movement when they get them on their turf, and know they have the Carnahan/McCaskill machine backed up by union thugs and bought and paid for prosecutors to protect them.

It is clear 'heyoke' was reflecting on the Michael Moore butt kissing after making another slandering lying 'mockumentary' on real Americans. I think this will give context and shed light on heyoke's comments:

CHAD CRAFT'S LETTER TO THE EDITOR....

GOP HAS GOOD CHANCE IN 2010

Well, the sad thing is, Chad is right. Due to the stupidity of the American people, they will elect "REPUBLICANS" to save them from the "DEMOCRATS" that they elected in 2008, to save them from the "REPUBLCIANS" that they had elected before to save them from the "DEMCORATS" and BILL CLINTON. After we elect "REPBUBLICANSS" in 2010 to save us from these 2008 Democrats, we will elect "DEMOCRATS" in 2014 to save us from Republicans ad infinitum.

When will Americans ever learn that we have a ONE PARTY SYSTEM in the US. The Democrats and Republicans are just two wings of the same bird of prey, according to Pat Buchanan. George Wallace, former Governor of the great state of Alabama said it best when he ran as an independent in 1968, "There isn't but a dime bit of difference between them."

Until we hold our Represenatives like Jo Ann Emerson who is nothing more than a globalist, New World Order stooge, accountable for their votes, like her TWO votes to rip our paychecks from us and give them to the corrupt, gambling, greedy *** Wall Street Bankers and foreign Banks, and for Emerson's vote for Obama's non-stimulating STIMULUS Bill, we are going to continue to get crappy *** government.

It's a long story. Well not really but I have been asked that about 30 times. I was looking for a pic of a wiffle ball but Mr. Whipple came up and I though....Therorist and Suelyn are educators so I said to myself.... "Self, that ought to drive them crazy". So now you know why I did it.
