Craft vendor expresses thanks

I am writing to express my sincere thanks to the Osage Community Centre, the vendors and the patrons who visited my booth at the Christmas Arts and Crafts Extravaganza. The theft that occurred at my booth devastated my business this holiday season, but what has amazed me is how the crafters and attendees banded together to support me in what has been one of the worst moments of my life. Because of your support and prayers, I will be able to have Christmas for my daughter and pay my bills. This is truly above and beyond the Christmas spirit. This is a blessing.

At this point, I have no orders because they were stored in the same container as the money. If you paid by check and the check clears, please contact the Cape Girardeau police immediately.

My thanks to the Southeast Missourian for getting the news to the community, to the Osage Community Centre for being diligent in trying to find the thief, the Cape Girardeau police for being professional and helpful and the vendors and customers at the crafts extravaganza. Many thanks to the Arts Council of Southeast Missouri for providing me a booth for next year. Your support has absolutely meant the world to me.
