ULLIN, Ill. -- Ralph N. Taake Jr., 83, of Ullin died Tuesday, Nov. 10, 2009, at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

He was born March 12, 1926, in Ullin, to Ralph N. and Lora Scruggs Taake Sr. He married Betty L. Bingaman Dec. 1, 1951.

Taake was a member of Ullin Methodist Church. He was president and chairman of the board of the former First Bank and Trust Company of Cairo, Ill.

He is survived by his wife, Betty L. Taake of Ullin; a son, Greg (Vickey) Taake of Bloomington, Ill.; a daughter, Janet Taake of Naperville, Ill.; a granddaughter, Heather Taake of Bloomington; a grandson, Christopher Taake of Bloomington; other relatives; and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Visitation will be from 4 to 6 p.m. Friday at Crain Funeral Home in Ullin.

The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Crossroad United Methodist Church, with Pastor Pete Vinson officiating. Interment will be in Green Lawn Memorial Gardens.
