ULLIN, Ill. -- The suspect in a double shooting that happened in Thebes, Ill., last week has turned himself in, according to the Illinois State Police.

Dion L. Meadows, 24, of Carbondale, Ill., turned himself in to the Alexander County Sheriff's Office Monday morning, according to an Illinois State Police news release. He was taken to the Tri-County Detention Center.

According to the Illinois State Police, Meadows got involved in an argument with one of the victims at the housing complex. Before fleeing in his car, a 1995 gold Oldsmobile, he fired gunshots.

The victims were transported to Saint Francis Medical Center. One received serious injuries while the other victim received non-life threatening injuries, police said. Authorities are not releasing the names of the victims.
