Letter to the Editor

Save TeAta for future generations

To the editor:

Here is a letter I sent to the Girl Scout Otakhi Council from the Bollinger County Chamber of Commerce:

On behalf of the Bollinger County Chamber of Commerce, we are asking that the Otakhi Council re-think its proposed sale of Camp TeAta.

This camp has been successfully serving the Girl Scouts for over 50 years. Its loss would mean the loss of a beautiful camping area and a beautiful camping experience for Girl Scouts in the future.

Please do not let a temporary lack of funds guide your decision to get rid of this treasure in the woods of Bollinger County. Future generations of Girl Scouts will applaud your decision to keep this campground.
