Suspect sought in Thebes double shootingThursday, November 5, 2009
Dion L. Meadows, 24, of Carbondale allegedly shot two people in the parking lot of Mary Alice Meadows Public Housing at about 9 p.m. The Alexander County state's attorney issued a warrant for aggravated battery with a firearm. According to the Illinois State Police, Meadows got involved in an argument with one of the victims at the housing complex. Before fleeing in his car, a 1995 gold Oldsmobile, he fired gunshots. The victims were transported to Saint Francis Medical Center. One received serious injuries while the other victim received non-life threatening injuries, police said. Don't they have rules about criminals in housing projects? Were the victims true victims or were they part of the motley crew? Weapons should not be tolerated in the public housing project either. Throw out the scum and the real needy will be served!
And for the record, He shares the last name as the Project????

I believe that thekid's post should be removed, and an opology should be forthcoming from him/her.
The authorities need to crack down on these idiot cowboys. They fill the prisons with nonviolent drug offenders when they need to be using that space to implement longer, stiffer sentences for these violent animals. You shoot somebody when it's not in self-defense, you go to prison for life. Period. You're a felon in possession of a firearm, you go to prison for life. Period. But the only way we can do that is by freeing up the tax money being wasted on incarcerating druggies.
