JCPenney Salon Raises Money for Charities

The Jcpenney Salon in Cape Girardeau have combined their efforts with the JCPenney retail store to raise money for two charities. The idea first came about when the need arose to clean out a stock room. In doing so many of the stylist came to the conclusion that there are many people in the community that could use the beauty items. A sale was offered to JCPenney employees who purchased the items which raised $193 to be donated to United Way. The remainder of the unsold items were donated to the Safe House in Cape Girardeau. In addition, the stylist wanted to offer a bake sale which raised $73 dollars that was donated to the Autism foundation.
