Kelly High graduate gets promotion

Walter D. Deason has been promoted to the rank of chief master sergeant in the U.S. Air Force. Chief master sergeant is the highest attainable rank of the Air Force enlisted force structure and pinnacle of the noncommissioned officer grades. He is the senior enlisted adviser for the Air Force Element, Joint Task Force-Bravo at Soto Cano Air Base, Honduras. The chief master sergeant has served in the military for 26 years. He is the son of Walter D. Deason Jr. and Virginia Deason of Blodgett, Mo. The chief is a 1980 graduate of Thomas W. Kelly High School in Benton, Mo. He received associate in applied science degrees in 1991 and 2003 from the Community College of the Air Force, Maxwell Air Force Base, Ala.
