High school roundup: Notre Dame volleyball beats Saxony in 2 games

Meghan Dohogne smacked 11 kills and Shannon Brennan put up 14 assists to lead the Notre Dame volleyball team to a 2-0 victory against Saxony Lutheran on Friday.

Lindsay Strieker added six kills, while Abby Horrell chipped in two aces in the Bulldogs' 25-17, 25-16 victory.

Notre Dame improved to 20-2 with the win.

Cassie Simpher led the Crusaders with four kills and three blocks, while Katie Winter and Tayler Beal added three kills apiece. Holly Schermann finished with four kills and seven digs in the loss.

Kaitlin McCormick had seven kills but it wasn't enough as the Cardinals fell at home.

Ashley Acup chipped in 12 digs, while Becky Brannon contributed 14 assists and three kills for the Cardinals (9-13).

Megan Woodall had eight digs, while Tylar Kennedy added three for the Eagles (9-8).

Oak Ridge2525 Marquand1410

The Blue Jays captured their second victory of the season behind three kills from Emily Ruch.

Stacy Roberts added two for Oak Ridge (2-14).
