Goldia B. Collier, 95, of Scott City died Sunday, Oct. 4, 2009, at the Lutheran Home in Cape Girardeau.

She was born Jan. 17, 1914, in Ancell, Mo., daughter of David and Barbara Montgomery Brant. She and Floyd Alfred Collier were married Oct. 4, 1934, in Jackson. He preceded her in death Aug. 20, 1954.

She was the last living charter member of the Cornerstone Wesleyan Church in Scott City. She worked at Ely Walker and also was a cook at Scott City Schools.

Survivors include a daughter; Alrhea (David) Henderson of Olive Branch, Ill.; four sons; Carmon (Jean) Collier of Scott City, Danny (Juanita) Collier of Shelbina, Mo., Houston Collier of Iuka, Kan., and Leanis (June) Collier of Jackson; a sister; Lucille Lance of Scott City; 25 grandchildren; 46 great-grandchildren; and 32 great-great-grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by a son, Ronald Amos; a granddaughter, Wendy Collier; a great-grandson, Josh Amos; six brothers; and five sisters.

Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Scott City.

Friends may call from 12:30 p.m. until time of service at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Cornerstone Wesleyan Church, with the Rev. Charles Lance and Bro. Mark Fisher officiating. Burial will be in Lightner Cemetery in Scott City.
