Mack Racing Team prepares for 2005

Joey Mack, an auto racer from Benton, Mo., who raced on the Mid-America Racing Series last year, has announced his 2005 schedule.

Mack will begin racing this weekend with a Northern AllStar Late Model Series doubleheader. Mack will compete Friday at the Kentucky Lake Motor Speedway in Calvert City, Ky., and race Saturday at the Clarksville Speedway in Tennessee.

"The plan is run the entire MARS deal again," Mack said in a statement, "but that could change with the uncertainty of the series since it was bought out. We are getting ready for the season ... and we are actually ahead of schedule for once. ... The motor has been freshened and the transporter is ready to go."
