High school round up: Woodland sweeps Oran

Kaitlin McCormick and Kendra Pinkley recorded 10 digs apiece to help lead the Woodland volleyball team to a sweep of host Oran on Friday.

Becky Brown put up 23 assists while Ashley Acup had 13 digs in the Cardinals' 25-14, 25-19, 25-13 victory.

Holly Milam recorded three kills, two aces and two digs, Amanda Young added two blocks and Megan Cook contributed three assists in the loss.

Woodland improved to 6-9, while Oran fell to 1-7-1.

Erin Bollmann smashed seven kills while Jillian Mills added five, but it wasn't enough as the host Panthers fell to 9-8.

SOFTBALL Hillsboro 4, Jackson 3

Damesha Huddleston went 2 for 4 with a triple and Katie Garner added two hits in the home defeat.

Hannah Thompson recorded the loss in the circle as Jackson fell to 4-14 this season.

Ryan Schlick and Law Duncan both recorded a goal as the Indians posted the road win.

Clay Baker earned an assist on both goals.

Cody Peohme had two saves in goal to help Jackson improve to 8-4.
