Centenary United Methodist Church was the setting Aug. 7, 2004, for the wedding of Kimberly Ann Aslinger and Bryan Arthur Kelpe. Dr. Clayton Smith performed the ceremony. Soloists were Meagan Edmonds and Denny and Paula Reeves.
Parents of the couple are Howard and Jean Aslinger and Gerald and Bonnie Kelpe, all of Cape Girardeau.
Maid of honor was Shelley Aslinger of St. Peters, Mo., and matron of honor was Kari Clippard of Cape Girardeau, sisters of the bride. Bridesmaids were Cindy Toennies of St. Louis; Laura Wallhausen of Jackson, sister of the groom; and Amanda Dillman of Cape Girardeau. Junior bridesmaids were Logan Clippard of Jackson and Maddison Clippard of Cape Girardeau, nieces of the bride.
Dustin Michael and Dustin Gross, cousin of the groom, both of Cape Girardeau, were best men. Groomsmen were Ben Chisman of Indiana, Jason Trickey of Cape Girardeau, and Andy Horrell of Ste. Genevieve, Mo. Junior groomsman was Nicholas Wallhausen of Jackson, nephew of the groom.
Usherettes were Katie Dougherty of Arvada, Colo., Emily Hall of St. Louis, and Carrie and Rachel Hessenkemper of Jackson.
Candlelighters were Spring DeCramer of Cape Girardeau and Angie Edwards of Mayfield, Ky.
Flower girl was Katherine Wallhausen, daughter of Matt and Laura Wallhausen and niece of the groom. Honorary flower girl was Abigail Clippard, daughter of John and Kari Clippard and niece of the bride. Ringbearer was John Clippard, son of John and Kari Clippard and nephew of the bride.
The reception was held at the A.C. Brase Arena.
The groom's parents hosted the rehearsal dinner at Buckner Brewing Co.
Mrs. Kelpe is pursuing a degree in health management at Southeast Missouri State University. She is a unit secretary at Southeast Missouri Hospital.
The groom is a science teacher at Oak Ridge Middle School and is employed at Sylvan Learning Center.
After a wedding trip to Cancun, Mexico, the couple is residing in Cape Girardeau.
