KANSAS CITY, Kan. -- A small town in Southeast Missouri will get $194,000 in federal funding to improve its storm water system.

The regional office of the Environmental Protection Agency announced the grant for East Prairie on Wednesday.

Four sewer collapses have caused flooding in the town of about 3,200 residents since 2006. The EPA said the grant will be used to add a lining to 1,500 feet of East Prairie's existing storm sewer.
