Shirley Marie Davis Baldwin, 72, of Cape Girardeau died Wednesday, Sept. 2, 2009, at her home.
She was born Feb. 16, 1937, in Barrington, N.J., daughter of Walter R. and Doris A. Dowd Davis. She and Charles R. Baldwin were married April 20, 1957, in Cape Girardeau.
Mrs. Baldwin was a 1955 graduate of Central High School. She was a member of PEO, Beta Sigma Phi sorority and Jaycee Wives. She was a pastoral care volunteer at Saint Francis Medical Center, and a member and Sunday school teacher at Abbey Road Christian Church.
Survivors include her husband; four sons, Charles Baldwin and wife Sandra of Fairview Heights, Ill., Bradly Baldwin and wife Chris of Elizabethtown, Ky., David Baldwin and wife Joy of Cape Girardeau, Mark Baldwin and wife Kelly of Springfield, Mo.; two brothers, Hugh Davis of St. Petersburg, Fla., and Barry Davis of Cape Girardeau.
Also 10 grandchildren, Margaret Watson, Aaron, Jennifer, Sarah, Spencer, Zachary, Zoe, Maxwell, Mitchell and Lucille Baldwin; four great-grandchildren, Ainsley, Colten and Cooper Watson and Riley Baldwin.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
The family will receive friends from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home.
The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at the chapel, with the Rev. Rodger Kiepe officiating. Burial will be in Cape County Memorial Park.
