Roy Green

PERRYVILLE, Mo. -- Roy C. Green, 60, of Perryville died Tuesday, Aug. 25, 2009, at his home.

He was born Nov. 12, 1948, in Fairfield, Ill., son of Herbert and Maria Locke Green. He and Wendy Jo Tisher were married Sept. 23, 1995, at Steeleville, Ill.

Green was a truck driver. He was a member of VFW and also a member of the American Legion in Steeleville.

He was a U.S. Army veteran.

Survivors include his wife, Wendy Jo Green of Perryville; two daughters, Dana Emerson of Green Bay, Wis., Amy Bivens of Salem, Ill.; two brothers, Robert and Ray Green of Avon Park, Fla.; two sisters, Olive Schwarzlose of Dix, Ill., Irene Green of Centralia, Ill.; and four grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents, two sisters and two daughters.

Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. Friday and 6:30 a.m. to service time Saturday at Miller Family Funeral Home. A VFW service will be held at 7 p.m. Friday.

The funeral will be at 9 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Tom Bass officiating. Burial will be private.
