IAAP LEADERSHIP WORKSHOP

On August 15, 2009 the IAAP (International Association of Administrative Professionals) Missouri Division Leadership Workshop was held in Springfield, Missouri. Five members of the Girardot Chapter attended this workshop: Rhonda Zeilinger CPS, President of Cape Girardeau; Doris Dumey CPS/CAP, Vice President of Scott City; Lynn Moore CPS/CAP, Program and Social Committee of Cape Girardeau; Marge Phillips CPS/CAP, Treasurer of Scott City; and Marie Steinhoff CPS, Ways and Means Committee Co-chair of Cape Girardeau.

The meeting was designed to prepare IAAP leaders for the positions to which they were elected or appointed. Workshops presented were: "Leading with Emotional Intelligence" by Antoinette Smith CPS/CAP, IAAP International Director, Southwest District; "Learning to Lead" by Colleen Neill CPS/CAP; "Succession Planning" by Kay Enlow CPS/CAP, Past IAAP International President; and "Energize Your Leadership Style" by Melynda Porges CPS/CAP, Missouri Division Parliamentary Advisor. Attendees also enjoyed essential networking with others across the state.
