Obama's coming-out party

"There's garbage in the punch bowl." The cry was heard. The six-month Obama coming-out party was winding to a close. Promises of perfection had been abandoned months earlier. Now people were being told to sit down and shut up. Obama and his party planners know what is good for us and don't need our input.

The hors d'oeuvres had been disappointing. The main course had been disappointing. The desert had, yet again, been disappointing. Now punch with garbage in it had been presented for consumption. Many took some with a smile on their faces. "I'm thirsty and it's free." Many had seen the garbage and were having nothing to do with it. Some were going so far as to tell others of the contamination. Obama, seeing the dismay, had the garbage removed.

The punch (health-care reform) has been served. At this point it is beyond cleaning. It was ruined when this administration handed its creation to authors with agendas. We are all thirsty. We want a healthy drink. This is not it. An administration for the people must be able and willing to hear the people. I hope the earplugs can be removed.
