Bush fails on good moral values

To the editor:

Canadians can't understand why we voted for President Bush. It's simple. We thought he was a Christian and had good moral values. We wanted to believe he really talked to God and was led by God. But God would not have sent his people to kill and destroy another country without just cause.

God would not take from the poor to give to the rich. We are paying more for Medicare, and it is paying for less. Does this sound like good moral values?

Now the president is trying to change Social Security. We have the highest deficit ever, and it's still going up. Does this sound like good moral values? He was born into wealth and has no value for money and no compassion for the poor and middle class.

We were misled by this man. Our Bible states in Matthew 7:15-20, "Beware of false prophets, which some to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves. We shall know them by their works."

If he could run for a third term, he would probably win again. Some people never learn. But we all suffer for it.
