It's Almost Tunes Time!

Old Town Cape will resume their Tunes at Twilight Concert Series on Friday, August 14 with Jimmy Davis. Sponsored by The Bank of Missouri and Southeast Missouri Hospital and supported by a Missouri Arts Council Grant, the fall series will be held every Friday night through September 18 starting at 6:30 pm at the Common Pleas Courthouse Gazebo on Lorimier Street in Cape Girardeau. All concerts are free to the public.

Jimmy Davis is a versatile singer-songwriter, and has been named "Premier Male Vocalist" five times by the Memphis Chapter of the National Academy of Recording Arts & Sciences. He knows no boundaries when it comes to musical styles. Influences range from The Beatles to the Eagles, Johnny Cash and Gram Parsons to Jackson Browne. His songs have been recorded by Martina McBride, Restless Heart, Joy White, Johnny Rivers, as well as many other independent artists. Davis has appeared as a backing vocalist on numerous recordings by artists such as former Eagle Bernie Leadon. But it's Jimmy's charisma, warmth and talent as a performer that make him stand out among his well known peers.

Future fall performers include Danny Santos, Mike Renick, Rod Picott, Ericson Holt and Luce Wainwright Roche.

The rain site for August 14th is 2 North Bistro located at 2 North Main. Future rain sites will be published on the Old Town Cape website www.oldtowncape.org.
