Need immigration moratorium

I have been interviewed by the Washington Post, Los Angeles Times, Atlanta Journal-Constitution and many other news networks on issues concerning Americans. I am an immigrant who used to prepare immigration applications.

Detaining illegals is good but is costly to taxpayers. Since tens of millions of Americans are unemployed -- people who have been laid off, those who have never found work since reaching 18, without counting welfare recipients or nonviolent prison inmates -- President Obama and Congress should immediately enact some sort of immigration moratorium so that we can put unemployed Americans to work.

Your readers should be told that if the misnamed "comprehensive" immigration reform is adopted -- granting amnesty and guest worker visas to 12 million or more people, which is being pushed by promoters of mass immigration -- we can expect an explosion of legal and illegal immigration. With millions of these adults becoming potential voters, it is highly improbable that the Obama or next administration would ensure that people who enter the U.S. illegally or guest workers who have violated their immigration status would be deported.

Furthermore, many legalized people and guest workers will have children born here. And once naturalized, they can bring in their extended families who will sooner or later become potential voters. These newcomers will also be jobseekers and in need of health care, education and other expensive social services, thus putting further pressure on our government.
