Cape man sentenced to 67 months on drug charge

Shannon R. Hunsperger, 30, of Cape Girardeau received a sentence Tuesday of 67 months in prison for one count of conspiracy to possess a listed chemical with intent to manufacture methamphetamine. Hunsperger also received two years' supervised parole, according to a news release from the office of federal prosecutor Michael W. Reap. With his previous guilty plea, Hunsperger admitted that on Jan. 23, he and another person had been purchasing pseudoephedrine pills for a third individual for the manufacture of methamphetamine.
