Such beautiful music came from this group that came to receive Dulcimer lessons on July 18th given by Rosemary Oxley at the Red House Interpretive Center in downtown Cape Girardeau. A Dulcimer is a old time mountain music fretted string instrument that was very popular in the 1700 and 1800's and is native to the Appalachian region of the United States. The popularity for this instrument is growing again today and many more people are learning to play.
