Southeast to receive Regional Innovator Award

Southeast Missouri State University will receive the 2005 Regional Innovator Award from the Southern Growth Policies Board. Only 14 recipients were selected out of more than 200 nominations, school officials said Tuesday. Southeast was recognized for its area higher education centers in Kennett, Malden, Sikeston and Perryville. Southeast will be recognized at a June conference in Alabama. Founded in 1971, the Southern Growth Policies Board is a nonpartisan public policy think tank based in Research Triangle Park, N.C.
