Cape is a medical center

While David Limbaugh and Rush Limbaugh thrive on publicity generated by criticism from the liberal establishment, there are many in Cape Girardeau who have talent that is seldom recognized. For example, suppose a surgeon has saved a life. Does anyone applaud him? It's just an everyday job. Had the surgeon lost the patient, it is conceivable a lawsuit might ensue, which could cause bad publicity. The surgeon does not thrive on bad publicity.

There is a reason so many Illinois license plates are on Cape Girardeau parking lots. The city has become a medical center. Southeast Missouri Hospital and Saint Francis Medical Center have grown because of the plethora of physicians and well-trained nurses.

This situation has not been overlooked by businesses that need a flow of potential customers in order to make a profit. They pay taxes. Successful businesses must advertise, making in possible for KFVS12 to bring us the programs we like and the Southeast Missourian to give us a more detailed report of the local news.

Incidentally, I just received a phone call from my daughter in New Mexico. She is so liberal that she handled the phones for Barack Obama on Election Day in Las Cruces. I has sent her a copy of the Limbaugh bit. She confessed she had read David Limbaugh's column.
