Dexter boys rout Advance in finals of tournament

Dexter limited Advance to three points in the second period Friday night and rolled to a 69-39 victory in the championship game of the Stoddard County Tournament at Bloomfield.

Dexter outscored Advance 16-3 in the second to take a 33-16 halftime lead.

Daryl Wade led Advance (13-5) with 12 points, while Jeremy Limbaugh added 10 points.

In the third-place game, Bell City beat Puxico 57-49.

A.J. Henry led the Cubs (11-6) with 14 points. D.D Gillespie added 13, and Kerry Lasters scored 10.

Dexter beat Advance 68-49 in the junior varsity championship.
