Chuck and Laura McGinty, who own McGinty Jewelers in Cape Girardeau, opened a second jewelry store in St. Louis two years ago. That store has been named an A-List '09 winner by St. Louis magazine and designated as a Hot List '09 winner by ALIVE magazine. The St. Louis store is a boutique modeled after the 30-year-old Cape Girardeau business.

Ledure earns certification from American Society for Quality

The Certification Board of the American Society for Quality has named Jason Ledure a certified Six Sigma Green Belt. Ledure, quality control manager at Havco Wood Products LLC in Cape Girardeau, completed an examination and had the required three years of work experience. The American Society for Quality is a knowledge-based global community of quality control experts dedicated to the promotion and advancement of quality tools, principles, and practices in their workplaces and in their communities.
