Hole of the day - No. 18

The first time that Byeong-hun An played No. 18 on Saturday, he smacked his second shot onto the green, leaving about 10 feet for eagle.

That putt stopped about 6 inches from the cup but wouldn't fall.

It turns out, that eagle would have won the tournament.

That's because the final boys pairing, which included T.J. Vogel and Gavin Hall, couldn't close out the tournament. Vogel hit his tee shot onto the wrong side of the cart path and ended up having to putt down the massive slope on the green. He settled for bogey.

Hall also had a chance to win it with a putt, but his birdie attempt lipped out.

With Hall, Vogel and An all at 6 under after 18 holes, the trio moved to a playoff.

On No. 18.

All three players birdied the hole in the first round of the playoff, so they did it again.

The second time was the charm for Vogel. He was the lone player to find the fairway, and his chip from left of the green found the hole to capture the championship.

On the girls side, other players needed three attempts to make it onto the green, but not champion Victoria Tanco.

She hammered her first shot to the middle of the fairway, 20 yards ahead of the nearest golfer, then drove her second shot 10 feet past the pin.

She would go on to birdie the hole to push her to 13 under for the tournament and end grab the crown in fitting fashion.
