Hole No. 18, with a pin placement on the upper front of the massive green, proved the easiest hole for both the boys and girls during Wednesday's opening round.

"It's easy to score on that hole," current boys leader Matt Weaver said.

Six boys players carded eagles while 51 scored a birdie -- both were more than any other hole.

Weaver said Dalhousie's No. 18 was one of the easiest holes he's played this summer.

"It's a good birdie opportunity to finish a hole," he said.

On the girls side, two players scored eagles, while 23 carded birdies. Victoria Tanco, the current girls leader, shored up her lead with a birdie on the hole, while Nicole Zhang, who sits in second, lost a stroke when she bogeyed the final hole. Only six girls players scored worse than par on the hole.
