Cape Girardeau, Jackson fireworks laws

* Fireworks may be sold from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily from June 27 to July 4.

* Fireworks may be used from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily from June 27 to July 3 and from 10 a.m. to midnight July 4.

* Only Common Consumer Class C 1.4 G fireworks may be sold.

* No fireworks may be sold to children younger than 17 or to any intoxicated or irresponsible person.

* No aerial devices that use a straight and rigid stick attached to a propellant tube or driver, including bottle rockets, may be sold, possessed or used.

* No fireworks may be used within or launched from a motor vehicle.

* No fireworks may be used on the private property of a third party without the consent of the property owner.
