Kinder, Talent endorse Blunt for U.S. Senate

Sunday, June 21, 2009

ST. LOUIS -- Lt. Gov. Peter Kinder and former U.S. senator Jim Talent have endorsed congressman Roy Blunt's bid for the U.S. Senate.

Kinder and Talent, also Republicans, announced their support for Blunt at a gathering in St. Louis on Saturday.

Blunt is seeking to replace Sen. Kit Bond, who's retiring.

Blunt is the only Republican to have declared his candidacy for the 2010 race so far. The only Democratic candidate is Secretary of State Robin Carnahan.

Well said Howdydoody.

I have been holding out for the endorsement from FORMER senator Jim Talent. Now Blunt has my vote. NOT!
