Looking for a helping hand

At one time or another, we all need help, whether it be mental, physical, spiritual or just a shoulder to lean on. I recently had to completely start over with not just life but with everyday living and the basic things that help us to function on a day-to-day basis.

I have called churches and was supposed to have someone help me with a bed. That was two months ago, and I have yet to get the bed. They called and scheduled an appointment for it to be delivered, then canceled. I was told they would call me.

I am sleeping on a mattress top that is really hard on my back, not to mention the knee that I need surgery on but can't get done for lack of insurance.

Yes, I did get myself in this predicament, but I am doing my best to right all the wrongs that I have done. You see, I'm a recovering addict and have been in recovery over a year. I am not asking for anyone to take care of me, just for them to extend a hand. When I get back on my feet, I can reciprocate. Life is hard, but it was harder with drugs. With God's help only am I clean and sober.
