Newell - 50 years

TAMMS, Ill. -- Mr. and Mrs. Jim Newell of Tamms will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary with an open house June 21 at First Baptist Church in Ullin, Ill.

Newell and Carolyn Dunaway were married June 27, 1959, at First Baptist Church in Ullin, by the Rev. Charles Ingram. Their attendants were Helen Webster and Charles Wallace.

The couple has three children, Angela (Greg) Lingle of Tamms, Tracy (Phil) Atherton of Ullin, and Jimmy (Rebecca) Newell of Memphis, Tenn. They have five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
