BELL CITY, Mo. -- Raymond Cletus Stovall, 76, of Bell City was born Sept. 20, 1932, at Ardeola, Mo., son of George and Adelia Smith Stovall, and died Saturday, June 6, 2009, at his home.
Raymond was a retired mechanic. He had worked at Al's Reefer Service in Sikeston, Mo. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving in the Korean War. Stovall was a member of the Lakeville Masonic Lodge, 32nd Degree and Past Master.
Raymond and Norma Lee Watkins were united in marriage March 17, 1956, and she preceded him in death Dec. 8, 2003.
Survivors include two sons, Donald (Daronda) Stovall of Bell City and Steve (Linda) Stovall of Parma, Mo.; five sisters, Cleo Newton of Advance, Mo., Ellen Watkins of Bell City, Lucille James of Sikeston, Clara Cockrell of Bell City and Katie Watkins of Essex, Mo.; a granddaughter; Jennifer Stovall of Moncton, New Brunswick, Canada, three grandsons; Joshua and Josiah Stovall, both of Bell City and Sam Stovall of Moncton; two step-grandchildren; Sarah Tinsley of Springdale, Ark., and John Scott Kidd of Jonesboro, Ark., two great-stepgranddaughters; and a sister-in-law, Gracie Alice Stovall of Morley, Mo.
He was preceded in death by three brothers, Donnie, Jim and Calvin; and a sister-in-law.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Morgan Funeral Home in Advance.
The funeral will beat 11 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Burial will be at Forest Hills Memorial Gardens near Morley.
