SCHOLARSHIPS

Alexis Bogenpohl of Jackson received the following scholarships: Cape Kiwanis, Jackson Elks, Cape County Business Organization, Missouri Bright Flight and a President's Scholarship. She will attend the St. Louis College of Pharmacy.

Natalee N. Glastetter of Oran, Mo., received a Ruth A. Buckhannon RN Memorial Scholarship. She will attend the Southeast Missouri Hospital College of Nursing.

Laura K. Felter of Kelly High School received a MFA Foundation Scholarship. She will attend the University of Missouri-Columbia.

The following received scholarships and plan to attend Southeast Missouri State University:

Nicole L. Parrish of Jackson received a MAP Achievement Scholarship.

Joshua D. Wiseman of Jackson received a President's Plus Scholarship.

Alex L. Stone of Cape Girardeau received a Missouri Leadership Award.

Adam M. Welker of Patton, Mo., received a Regents' Scholarship, a Missouri University of Science and Technology Trustees Scholarship, Patton Lions Club Scholarship, Meadow Heights Community Booster Club Coca-Cola Fund and a Heitman Scholarship. He also received a George Washington Carver Award, College Preparatory Certificate and U.S. Air Force Math and Science Award.

The following received a Jackson Elks Lodge scholarship: Evan Henry, Kristi Meier, Larissa Petzoldt and Shelby Darnell of Jackson High School; Sean Mills of Notre Dame Regional High School.

HONORS AND AWARDS

Chris M. Fischer and Brian M. Buchheit of Perryville, Mo., were named to the dean's list at the University of Central Missouri in Warrensburg for the spring semester.

Mary George Brown of Perryville and Andrew Williams of Cape Girardeau were named to the dean's list at Benedictine College in Atchison, Kan., for the spring semester.

Thomas H. McGowan of Cape Girardeau and Christy R. Laxon of Scott City were named to the dean's list at Central Methodist University in Fayette, Mo., for the spring 2009 semester.

Corey Main of Cape Girardeau was named to the dean's list at Westminster College in Fulton, Mo., for the spring semester.
