The New Hamburg Eager Beavers recently participated in a national community service project called 4-H Million Trees. The goal of the project is to encourage 4-H members all over the nation to plant 1 million trees. The Eager Beavers, in conjunction with the local Conservation Dept., planted 1150 trees at the Sand Praire Conservation Area in Benton, MO. The project was brought to the Club's attention by 4-H member Sarah Arnold and was organized by project leader and local Conservation Agent, Brad Pobst. At current date, the total number of trees that have been planted across the nation is 66,251.
