D-Day to bring an invasion of the Spirit

June 6, 1944, more than 150,000 Allied troops landed on the beaches of Normandy, France. It was the beginning of the end of Hitler's reign of terror.

Another D-Day invasion will be taking place June 4 to 6 at the University of Missouri Blanche M. Touhill Performing Arts Center in Normandy, when leaders of Missouri Prayer Global Mission invite the public to join the battle to take the state.

"Today an unseen enemy has held generations in bondage to the tyranny of sin, darkness and humanism. Now is the time, today is the day to rally the 'allied church' for a holy invasion to free a suffering humanity," said Regina Shank, director of Missouri Prayer, sponsor of the event.

She said a new wind of destiny is blowing in Missouri, bringing forth a change in the atmosphere that will require the church to step up to a higher level. Those who attend the conference should expect to be challenged to take that next step.

"Old structures are being uprooted as new awareness of the supernatural realm is unveiled in our midst. No longer are we satisfied with 'church as usual.' No longer will we tolerate 'performance Christianity.' We are rising up to step into our place as sons and daughters of the Kingdom who are not afraid to confront evil, who are not afraid to speak out against immorality, darkness, and death. The 'sleeping giant' of the church is beginning to awaken," she said.

Missouri Prayer, founded in 2000, is this state's arm of the United States Alliance for Reformation. With a network of more than 1,000 intercessors, the organization's members are praying for the gospel of Jesus Christ to be offered to every man, woman and child in Missouri; for Godly leaders to be in places of influence in the state; for God's ways and purposes to be advanced; and for Jesus Christ to be lifted up.

Conference speakers will include Shank, Dutch Sheets and Robert Henderson.

In addition to leading the Missouri Prayer Network, Shank is the Dean of Wagner Leadership Institute Heartland School, Carthage campus; the head of the Missouri State Apostolic Council; and the state leader of both the United States Alliance for Reformation and the Reformation Prayer Network. She has led prayer journeys throughout Missouri and the nation and has traveled to Romania, Italy, Bosnia, Ethiopia, Egypt, Israel, Hungary and China leading prayer journeys to release God's purposes in the earth. She is ordained through Glory of Zion and is a member of Breakthrough Apostolic Network with Apostle Barbara Yoder and Harvest International Ministries with Che Ahn.
