Junior left-hander Cody Kennedy threw a two-hitter as Meadow Heights defeated Delta 13-3 on the road Tuesday in high school baseball action.
Kennedy (5-2), who also has thrown two one-hitters and a no-hitter this season, has allowed just four hits in his last four games. On Tuesday, he struck out 13 batters and walked one.
Joe Kinder and Chase Crowden had the lone hits for Delta in a three-run fifth inning.
Matt Groves led a 14-hit attack for Meadow Heights (5-5) with a home run and double in a 3-for-3 performance. Adam Williams added three hits and Trever Hotop, Chad Kiefer and Dustin Hubler had two hits apiece.

Scott City, playing for the first time in two weeks because of rain outs, knocked off host Sikeston.
Shae Simmons allowed three hits in five innings for the win. He struck out seven and walked five. Josh Henson earned a save with two perfect innings, recording three strikeouts.
The Rams (8-6) had nine hits, led by Skylar Cobb, Austin Raines and Jaris Hye with two each.

Winning pitcher Aaron Horrell struck out nine in the first six innings, while Andrew Dooley fanned two in the seventh for the Red Devils (9-5).
Horrell had two hits at the plate, as did teammate Trevor Cannon.

Ian Householder allowed seven hits in a complete-game victory.
Cody Dirnberger allowed five hits and two earned runs for the Eagles (8-7). Jayden Pobst homered for Oran, while Dirnberger had two hits.

Garrett Fritsche (6-0) pitched a three-hitter, striking out nine.
The Crusaders (14-3) had 10 hits, led by Chris Roth, Spencer Sander, Bret Steffens and Ryan Sprandel. Roth homered and had three RBIs.
Brett Thomas accounted for Oak Ridge's lone run with a homer.

Winning pitcher Paul Ferguson pitched into the seventh inning before yielding to Travis Wibbenmeyer, who obtained the final two outs.
Ferguson struck out five, walked two and allowed six hits. Wibbenmeyer did not allow a hit as he recorded a save.

Advance allowed three unearned runs as it suffered a one-run loss to visiting Charleston.
After both teams scored two runs in the first, Charleston scored the game-winner in the fourth.
Losing pitcher Grant Gray allowed four hits in 4 2/3 innings. He struck out four and walked two. Jacob Bond followed with 2 2/3 innings of hitless relief.
Bond also had two of the six hits for Advance (5-7).

St. Vincent scored on a penalty kick in the second overtime period to defeat the Bulldogs.
Notre Dame had struck just two minutes into the game on a goal by Anna Wren off a pass from Mindy Siebert.
St. Vincent tied the game 13 minutes later.
