Students and staff of the Alternative Education Center recently hosted a Red Cross blood drive in honor of Barb Lohrmann, a long-time district teacher who is recovering from surgery. Thirty-six students and faculty participated, and 22 units of blood were collected. In the photo below, AEC teacher Richard Banville looks on while Mariah Ferguson, on the cot, enjoys a moment with Mylia DeBerry, seated at right. Another AEC student, Brady Cramer, prepares to donate blood on the cot at the rear of the room.
