Stephanie Aschermann

Stephanie Sue Aschermann, 58, of Coulterville, Ill., died Tuesday, April 21, 2009, at Sparta Community Hospital in Sparta, Ill.

She was born June 17, 1950, in Madison, Wis., daughter of Julius and Mariel Kivlin Moyer. She and Doug Aschermann were married April 26, 1970, in Mattoon, Ill.

Aschermann was a special-education teacher at Marissa High School. She was affiliated with First United Methodist Church in Sparta.

Survivors include a son, Ty Aschermann of Del Ray Beach, Fla.; two daughters, Corrie (Mike) Young of Cape Girardeau, Brooke (Chad) King of Sikeston, Mo.; a sister, Barbara Martin of Ivanhoe, Ill.; two brothers, Marc Moyer of Minooka, Ill., Daniel Moyer of Galesburg, Ill.; and five grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. today and 7:30 a.m. until time of service Friday at First United Methodist Church in Sparta.

The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Friday at the church, with Scott Henley officiating. A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. at Cape County Memorial Park in Cape Girardeau.

McDaniel Funeral Homes Ltd. in Sparta is in charge of arrangements.
