Reynolds hurls Woodland to first win

Kyle Reynolds pitched a three-hit complete game Monday as Woodland posted a 7-2 victory against Kelly, the Cardinals' first win of the high school baseball season.

Reynolds struck out seven and walked two in the road victory.

Andrew Minson had a two-run double among his two hits and Ronnie Turner added a double for Woodland (1-2). Sam Long also contributed a two-run single.

Zach McDowell tossed five innings, allowing two runs -- one earned -- on four hits while striking out six batters and walking one as he picked up the win on the mound.

Matt Crader knocked in three runs for the Indians (3-4), who earned the victory on the road.

Bobby Clark added two hits.

Delta 9, Bloomfield 6

Winning pitcher Aaron Criddle had a triple and a double as Delta notched its first victory of the season at home.

Criddle, who came on in relief, allowed four hits over the final two innings to record the win. He struck out one and walked two.

Cody Naramore, Shelby Kight, Matt Gooch, Joe Kinder and Criddle each had two hits for the Bobcats (1-2), who had 13 hits overall.

Cory Cooper, Ryan Moses, Grant Gray and Jacob Bond each had two hits for Advance, but the Hornets lost the home contest to Bernie.

Moses doubled for Advance's only extra base hit.

The Hornets (2-5) banged out 10 hits. Bond suffered the loss on the mound.

Whitney Vandeven tossed a one-hitter and struck out eight batters and walked three in Leopold's five inning road victory.

Vandeven also went to 2-for-3 at the plate as the Wildcats improved to 4-0.

Emily Vandeven and Chelsey Stoverink each went 3-for-4. Stoverink had a double.

Leopold smashed out 17 hits.
