Two local students advance in oratorical contest

Optimist oratorical contest

"For Me, Optimism Is ..." was the topic of this year's Southeast Missouri Regional Optimist Oratorical Contest, held recently at the Osage Community Centre. Winners Jasmine Adams of Sikeston, Mo., and Hayley Keith of Marble Hill, Mo., will advance to district finals April 25 in Ashland, Mo. The International Optimist Oratorical Contest awards more than $150,000 in college scholarships annually.
