Lorene Parkinson, age 85, of Olive Branch, Ill., passed away at 2:02 p.m., Friday, March 27, 2009, at Chateau Girardeau in Cape Girardeau.
She was born Jan. 6, 1924, in Thebes, Ill., the daughter of Herbert and Onie Lee Trammel Wyatt.
She is survived by her husband, Edward Parkinson of Olive Branch; six children, Sherry (Gordon) Windings of Villa Ridge, Ill., Earl Russell Jr. of Villa Ridge, James Russell of Mount Vernon, Ill., Sandra (John) Bruenderman of Cape Girardeau, Bradley (Lori) Russell of Paris, Tenn., and Amy (Shannon) Aldridge of Cape Girardeau; a host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and a brother, John (Wilma) Wyatt of Sun City Center, Fla.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Clyde Wyatt; a sister, Frances Bradford Gunn; and a granddaughter, Sahara Aldridge.
Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at Rose Hill Cemetery in Thebes, with the Rev. Larry Buckles officiating. Interment will follow.
