Winners of the Humane Society of Southeast Missouri poster pet contest announced

Cookie Monster, a 9-year-old German shepherd/chow mix who lives in Cape Girardeau with his mom, Leslee Polina, is this year's Humane Society of Southeast Missouri Poster Pet Contest winner in the dog category. Sinatra, a 9- year-old domestic medium-haired cat, owned by Dr. Joe and Mrs. Deanne Jacob of Puxico, Mo., is this year's winning Poster Pet cat. In its second year, the Poster Pet search had 22 pet contestants. Winners received Petco gift cards, a Humane Society address/phone book and a portrait sitting with Gila's Place Photography and Design Photography in Jackson. The winners' pictures will be used throughout the year on Humane Society advertising.
