Schools need safe environment

To the editor:

In response to "Opportunity knocked, but no one answered": How about tying education funding to schools that provide a safe environment for the students who are attending there. At Jackson High School, the administrators care more about their image than safety of their students. My son has been threatened and assaulted there. He has been told to tell a teacher or administrator when it occurs, but it seems nothing gets done. How many other parents are getting stonewalled by Jackson principals?
