'Sweet Charity' cast sparkled

Professional from start to finish -- that's the best way I know to describe "Sweet Charity," the latest production from the Department of Theatre and Dance at Southeast Missouri State University. The talent displayed in this show could just as easily been one of the many professional touring productions presented this season at the River Campus. Kenn Stilson's brilliant cast sparkled with Neil Simon's wit and wisdom, and the entire ensemble sang with Broadway aplomb courtesy of Judith Farris. The costumes, the sets, the orchestra all contributed to a production worthy of a much higher ticket price.

I agree with many of the patrons who exited that evening that Cape Girardeau is truly fortunate to have such a beautiful facility as the River Campus in our own backyard. Yet we are most fortunate to have, in our own backyard, skilled instructors who inspire professional results out of their students. Bravo!
